Keep & Quit Terms of Use

Keep & Quit is a habit-tracking app — keep good habits, quit bad ones, with friends — operated by Burak Toksoy (sole proprietorship, Maltepe, İstanbul, Türkiye) (contact: [email protected]). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 to use Keep & Quit anywhere in the world. If you are in the European Economic Area, you must be at least 16, unless your local law allows a lower age with a parent’s or guardian’s consent.

Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple or an emailed one-time code. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for everything you post: habit names, notes, and any photo you add to a share card or, where still available to you, a proof photo.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • create or encourage habits or content that promote self-harm, dangerous stunts, illegal activity, harassment, hate, or unsafe substance use;
  • impersonate another person, send spam, or upload a photo you do not have the right to share;
  • try to abuse, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the app or its rate limits.

We may hide or remove content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that break these rules.

Quick messages

To keep interactions kind and simple, friends can only send a small set of preset, positive or supportive phrases in reaction to your progress. There is no free-text chat anywhere in the app. If a friend’s messages feel wrong even within that limited set, block or report them instead of retaliating.

No medical advice

Keep & Quit is a habit-tracking and motivation tool. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or treatment for addiction or any health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. Talk to a doctor or a qualified professional before changing habits related to your health — stopping tobacco, alcohol or other substances can carry medical risks, and a professional can help you do it safely.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact local emergency services immediately:

  • Turkey: 112 (general emergency) or Alo 191 (Ministry of Health substance-use counseling line, 24/7).
  • European Union: 112.
  • United States: 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
  • Elsewhere: search for your country’s emergency or crisis line.

Keep & Quit is not a crisis service and is not staffed or monitored for emergencies.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you create. By posting a habit, note, or a photo you add to a share card or a proof photo, you give us the limited right to show it to the audience your visibility settings allow, only for as long as needed to run the app.

Proof and share-card photos

If you add a photo to a share card, or if a proof photo is still available to you on an older challenge, you confirm that you have the right to use that photo and that it does not violate anyone else’s rights or privacy.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may discontinue the app or a feature at any time.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Keep & Quit is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including, where applicable, liability arising from consumer-protection law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul Anadolu have jurisdiction over disputes. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including access to consumer arbitration bodies and consumer courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms; we will flag significant changes in the app.
